Marian

Laboratory Manager

“I qualified as a Biomedical Scientist in 1973 and helped establish the Regional Cytogenetic Department at Heartlands Hospital. I left to have a family and then returned to work in a multi-disciplinary laboratory at the Priory Hospital in Edgbaston, Birmingham.  After several years, I moved to the Bone Marrow Transplant Team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This led me on to research work at Birmingham University in the School of Immunity and Infection.  I have been running the laboratory at 608 Vet Practice since 2000. On a personal note, I have two Arab horses and have been an active member of Endurance GB, both competitively and within the Committee of our local group, for over 20 years. I am treasurer of the Heart of England Group and currently Chef d'equipe for the Inter-Regional Team competing in the Inter-Regional Championships.”
