How to become a veterinary surgeon
You will need GCSEs including maths, science and English with grades as required for entrance by the chosen University. You will need 3 A-Levels (or the equivalent) including biology and either chemistry, physics or maths at grades AAB or above (some vet schools request at least AAA).
You will need to attend at least 5 years of veterinary studies at one of the UK prestigious veterinary schools. You will need a lot of work experience with animals and in a veterinary environment because there are more veterinary students than there are places at vet school so you need to get out there and show them you’re committed!
You will need to be a decisive and confident person as you will be making decisions regarding patients on a daily basis.
