Important News - RHDV2 Outbreak

RHD (Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease) has two forms.  RHDV1 is covered by the combination Myxomatosis / RHDV vaccination, but the second strain is not.  There is now an outbreak of RHDV2 in the local area (B92) and there have been five fatalities in the last week.  More than ever it is important to vaccinate your bunnies.  As they are currently at high risk, the recommendation is to have the vaccination every 6 months rather than annually.  We are offering 10% off the Filavac vaccination to support you with this.

Our interests are firmly directed to the care of your pets. We have served the community for many decades, originally a mixed practice for large and small animals, then in 2011 formed surgeries purely dedicated to pet animals.

Much of our work is based on maintaining your pets in good health, and in a roundabout way, we are probably doing ourselves out of a job! However, the good health of your pet is at the heart of all we do.

Whilst we are advancing in the digital age to make contact more convenient, we continue to value our clients who wish to use more traditional methods of getting in touch with us, and those who enjoy talking, and exchanging notes and cards.

We have a mixture of local surgeries. This allows us to get familiar with our clients pets' needs. Additionally, our central Solihull Surgery is fully equipped to deal with more complicated cases as well as any emergency work.

Our main surgery provides a centre for hospitalisation with 24 hour care. The facilities and procedures include: an in-house laboratory for rapid, regular diagnostics 365 days a year, more involved surgery and imaging for more intricate cases.

Our Staff are pet owners themselves, so can empathise and understand your worries and concerns. On the lighter side, we all enjoy meeting new pets as well as old friends.
