Polish Vet, Magdalena hoping to help Acocks Green community!

608 Vets in Birmingham is in a prime position to help Polish pet owners in the local Acocks Green neighbourhood.

The area has a strong Polish community, and 608 Vets’ Magdalena Mrozik, who graduated from University in Wroclaw, Poland, is reaching out to her compatriots.

Magdalena holds consults each week at 608’s Acocks Green surgery in Westley Road, one of three clinics.

She said: “After graduating in Wroclaw, I moved to the UK to work in 2020, and I was lucky enough to join 608 Vets in 2021.

“It’s a great place to work. No day is the same at the practice, as you never know what will come through the door!

“It’s such a varied life. I can be carrying out wellness appointments, treating sick animals, performing surgeries, and caring for our hospitalised patients.

“I always look forward to meeting new owners and their pets each day, and day and being from Poland is obviously a big advantage in dealing with clients from the local Polish community.

“It sometimes helps to speak with them in Polish so they can fully explain their pet’s problems, and I can fully explain the treatment and care necessary.”

Magdalena is also keen to add to her expertise and experience and will soon start studying for her small animal internal medicine certificate.

“I love my job and really enjoy the more complicated and challenging cases, which is why I want to study more and further improve my skills and knowledge.”
