Thank you for bring your pet to 608 Vet Practice for its veterinary care. The following notes explain our terms of business.  Should you require further information please ask to speak to our Practice Manager or one of the Partners.

Fees

Payment is required at the time of each consultation or on discharge from the surgery unless PRIOR arrangements have been made with a vet or the practice manager. Payment can be made by cash, by debit card or by most major credit cards. Accounts are only sent in exceptional circumstances. If accounts remain unpaid a surcharge may be applied and the outstanding amount will be pursued through the small claims court.

Estimates

We will always be happy to provide an approximate price for your pet’s treatment. Please remember that we can not always say, in advance, exactly what costs may be incurred. We will always attempt to contact you to discuss additional costs should unforeseen complications arise.

If we are unable to contact you the attending veterinary surgeon will perform any additional procedures which in their opinion are necessary and desirable. If you anticipate difficulties settling your account please discuss the matter with a Vet or the Practice Manager BEFORE your pet is admitted for treatment.

Insurance

High quality modern veterinary treatment can be expensive. We strongly recommend you consider taking out pet insurance to help cover treatment costs. Direct claims (where your insurance company pays us directly rather than reimbursing you) may be considered in exceptional circumstances but must be agreed by one of the partners BEFORE treatment is started.

Ownership of records

Case records are the property of and will be retained by 608 Vet Practice. We are always happy to discuss the records with you and will send copies to another veterinary surgeon should you move away or if a second opinion is required. Where laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasound scans or ECG examination are performed, the fees charged cover the costs of performing the procedures and interpreting the results. The laboratory results, X-rays, ultrasound scans and ECG themselves are the property of and will be retained by 608 Vet Practice.

Complaints

We try very hard to provide high standard of veterinary care and service to our clients. If however you feel that we have fallen short of your expectations please contact or write to one of the Practice Partners who will be happy to discuss any concerns with you. If you feel that your complaint has still not been resolved and it is of a professional nature then please write to your professional body:

Pet Health Club Terms

  1. There is a joining fee of £10 per owner. This fee will be collected with the first payment
  2. If you cancel at any time other than on an anniversary of joining the plan, you will be required to pay the practice either the outstanding amount for treatment received, or the monthly payments due until the anniversary of your plan, whichever is lower.
  3. No refunds are payable for any months paid before a pet’s death except at the discretion of the practice
  4. Plans and prices valid from 1st July 2017
  5. The practice may require you to make an upfront payment or pay for treatment before the plan commences
