Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
“I qualified from Glasgow University in 1983. From there I went on to work for a year in a mixed practice in Loughborough until I joined 608 Vet Practice in 1985 where I focused on small animal work. I became a partner of the practice in 1990. Since 1996, I have been treasurer of the Veterinary History Society. I am also an active member of a number of Veterinary Associations including the Veterinary Zoological Society, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, the British Chelonia Group and British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group. I am also an Honorary Life member of the British Association of Tortoise Keepers. I am interested in dermatology and endocrinology and have a special interest in tortoises and other reptiles. I currently own two dogs and a cat, in addition to six tortoises. I have previously owned rats, tropical fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, a tropical crab, stick insects, gerbils, bantams and cockatiels to name a few!”
